Creativity and The Kingdom

 Today we find ourselves in the “latter days”, a time which coordinates to Joshua 3 where the children of   Israel enter into the Promised Land, taking cities and nations for the Lord. We find ourselves in a generation when the Body of Christ will fulfill the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations….” This commission is not just to disciple souls, but nations. In order to disciple nations, we must transform and become leaders in at least seven key areas (mountains or pillars) which are part of every society. They are: education, family, economy, government, media, worship (religion), celebration (arts & entertainment).  Psalm 2:8 says “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.”

  The soul of a nation can be referred to as a nation’s culture.  History has proven that culture is defined and influenced by the music, art and literature of the era. The arts and entertainment of the historical period shape the atmosphere of a nation. Currently, we are living in an historical period in which the sexual revolution of the 1960’s significantly contributed to a culture of declining morality. We find ourselves immersed in a culture of self-centeredness, self-gratification and destruction.
  You may be asking yourself if our culture is able to be transformed into the antithesis of what we currently experience. If I were not a believer I would say “no, that is impossible!”  However, I know that “with God, all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26). With the gifts He has given and the power of the Holy Spirit, all the nations of the world can be transformed. But one question resounds…HOW? How do we transform America and other nations?

  We can transform cultures through the celebration mountain by focusing on Jesus and receiving His Kingdom strategies to transform current generations and raising up a generation that seeks to live their lives with Kingdom love, Kingdom purpose, Kingdom identity and Kingdom creativity. As the body of Christ, we must focus on training up a generation of artists, athletes, politicians, journalists, educators, ministers, soldiers, businessmen and women who possess integrity and moral character flowing from within their inner most being. Like Daniel we must understand and believe “…the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many…” (Daniel 11:32-33).
