Lent Season & Kingdom

The purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer for Easter through prayer, doing penance, mortifying the flesh, repentance of sins, almsgiving, and denial of ego. 

Lent is a great time to connect with God.  The more we can put our flesh and selves aside , the more we are in tuned to hearing the voice of God.  Lent doesn't make God speak, it clears out the muck that is distorting the voice of God.  

​As Kingdom ambassadors we should be checking into the Kingdom government often , and if we are not finding or putting aside the time to listen, worship and pray we begin to not look like the Kingdom we represent.  We then begin to put on the culture's image instead of portraying the image or logo of Christ's Kingdom.
